BREEAM / Code for Sustainable Homes Assessments

Since 1 May 2008, it has been mandatory for all new homes to have a Code for Sustainable Homes (CSH) rating. BREEAM building assessments are required by various regulatory and government organisations such as English Partnerships, The Office of Government Commerce (OGC), The Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF), Housing Corporation, The Welsh Assembly, Government Regional Development Agencies and Local Authorities. The Landmark Practice is working with a number of clients to achieve required ecology and landscape credits under various BREEAM (The Building Research Establishment’s Environmental Assessment Method) and CSH (formerly EcoHomes) assessments. These have included a Persimmon housing development at Portishead (EcoHomes), an office development for Shepherd Developments at Emersons Green, Bristol (BREEAM offices), Filton High School, Bristol (BREEAM schools), a Bloor Homes residential development at St. Peter’s Park, Radstock (CSH assessment) and South Devon College, Paignton (BREEAM Bespoke).
